Simply tarot.

Tarot Review
Simply Tarot by Amanda Hall

This is the first of many card reviews I have planned over time, and this one has been chosen first as it one we bought for the workshops.

I first saw this one a few weeks back being used by one of our students in a tarot workshop and at first thought it was a really colourful version of the rider waite deck, well in fact in a way it is, but that said felt it was something we should have as a workshop set.

I checked the internet shops, Amazon and a few other places with no luck so gave up on the idea not knowing the pack details, then out of the blue on of our centres members found some on Ebay of all places, in fact the seller said they could get more than one set.

So he ordered me some too, the arrived at the centre Thurday night packed in a box with a book and a DVD.

After unpacking the cards and looking though them, the thing that struck me the most was how similar they were to the rider waite cards, but far better, the images were more like pictures and photo's than drawings with far more colour and detail.

As a tarot student from years back I started with rider waite but after my initial learning I changed to the Aquarian Tarot and have used them ever since, these on the other hand if they had been around 25 years ago, I could of happily used them.

For a beginner with tarot, you couldn't go far wrong with this set, the book is simple and explains each card without going into great detail, the trouble with many books when you are just starting out is far to much information to absorb at once.

The down side is the spreads in this book seem somewhat daunting for a first time student as Amanda has used far more cards than strictly needed for a basic spread, although I can see why, the more cards you have the more information you can give out in your reading.
The spread below is taken from the book showing a 26 card celtic cross (I use 10) so the detail is greater for a first timer with a layout such as this

If you do try out this set, before you watch the DVD, read the book cover to cover and get used to the cards, the DVD is very fast paced and, to be honest if I was a beginner would of lost the plot quite early on, I do think the dvd could of been at a slower pace making it a far better and useful learning tool, everything on the dvd is in the book away so at least if you have read the book the film will just back up what you have learnt already.

Amanda Hall's Website

The publisher is Hinkler Books, ISBN Number 1-7415-7535-4 published in 2005

Amanda Hall is a clairvoyant from Australia and has been teaching tarot herself since the early eighties, and although I don't agree with all her meanings on the cards the set is a good starting point to the world of tarot.

78 Card Spread 2

This is the second part of the 78 card spread following on from my Last post. I hope my sketch is clear enough

The rough guide to positions is as follows; (taken from'A Handbook for the Journeyman by Eileen Connolly') Rahdue's Wheel contains three wheels of 12 cards each (36 cards), six solidifiers (6 cards), two blocks of nine cards each (18 cards), two pillars of nine cards each (18 cards). The circles are contained within each other, and each looks like a clock face.

Card #1 begins at 1 o'clock, for example.
Card #13 goes directly below card #12. After you make the first circle, you make the other two just like it surrounding it.
Thus, you have an inner/present life activity, centre/future life activity and outer wheel/past life activity.
When all three circles are laid out, the 12 position should line up vertically like this: 38 -- past life wheel in 12th card position for outer wheel, 25 -- future life wheel in 12th card position, 12 -- present life wheel in 12th card.
The inner circle contains a pyramid with Card #13 (Solidifier #1) at the apex, card #26 (Solidifier #2) to the left base and, card #39 (Solidifier #3) at the right base Card placement meanings: #1-inner self, karmic path #2-Security and relationships #3-Plans, ideas, philosophy #4-background, parents, home #5-hopes, desires, pleasures #6-health, concerns #7-partners, loved ones #8-the Mystic Symbol--portrays potential gains #9-Distance, Travel #10-Karmic Amplitude--life's work #11-True desire for self and others #12-Hidden vibrations, known only on the subconscious level. Solidifier #1 = direction as a result of present life activity.
The place meanings are the same for all three wheels. Solidifier #2 represents the direction into the future and solidifier #3 represent the results of past activity Two blocks go below the wheels in the Rahdue Wheel spread. One is laid out after the wheels. The first block is called Dagim Block and contains cards #40 through 49 laid out in a straight line from right to left.
Connoley writes of this block, "Unlike the structured pattern of the 3 wheels, these nine cards are read as a block. This block contains information regarding the client's immediate past life. There is no time sequence involved....The Dagim Block will focus directly into an immediate past-life situation that is relevant to a present situation....The information we derive from these nine cards only presents the patterns of similarity between one life experience and another -- the karmic pattern."
Card #49 = Solidifer Card #4 and is a key to the present life. "It solidifies his intended karmic patterns," Connolley writes. To the right of the 3 graduated wheels is the Pillar of Taleh which explores PAST LIFE RELATIONSHIPS. Connolly says these cards should not be read individually until they have been read as a unit.
The lay out is 9 cards, throws #50 to 58 in a vertical line beginning at the bottom of the pillar. Card #59 = solidifier #5, the "key to knowledge." It is placed to the left of card #58. Connolly writes that a King solidifer signifies that a female will find her soul mate and a queen solidifier confirms a soul mate for a male querrent. She further explains "the solidifier confirms, consolidates an refers only to past life relationships that are relevant to the present."
To the left of the wheels is the Pillar of Shor, which explores PAST LIFE EXPERIENCE. It is laid out the same as the other pillar using throws #60 through #68. Card #69 = solidifier 6, the "key to open" which "holds the lesson of the illar." It is placed to the right of card #68. "Use this solidifier as a light to shine on hidden reasons and past experiences," Connolly says. This pillar explains why people do the same things over and over again, i.e., the "same guy/girl different face" relationship mistake.
The final element to Rahdue's Wheel is the Malkuth Block comprising cards 70 through 78.
They are laid out like the previous block from right to left directly below the previous block. There is one less card in this block than in the other, so the cards kind of overlap if you are working in a limited area.
Connolly says to lay these cards face down. You only turn up the # of cards it takes to answer the questions the querrent has already prepared, — the querrent can ask up to 9 questions at the beginning of the spread. He/she is to write them down and not tell the reader until this point what the questions are. One card turns up to answer each question.
If only one question is asked, turn up all cards in the Malkuth block and interpret as a group. Connolly writes a lot about meditating on the cards and provides a calendar for doing so. She also writes about the significance of the #9 as a mystic symbol in Rahdue's Wheel. Connolly says that the future wheel is only accurate up to 3 months in the future and the past wheel is accurate up to 28 days in the past. She recommends that readers "do" Rhadue's wheel four times a year.

78 Card Spread

For some years I have known of a tarot spread that involves all 78 cards called the 'Tree of Life' spread although never really got much further, after a bit of research I found a book explaining the spread and it is known as 'Rahdue's Wheel'. I have layed out the cards in the following picture and as you can see takes up a lot of space.

The next post will explain the layout order and the meaning of each position.

The layout could take hours to read fully and is not for the faint hearted, for some time I have been looking for a spread to use for life path readings and this could be it.

Card of the Week 8

Watch for a miracle. Coincidences are divinely inspired moments
designed to remind us that a higher power is guiding our lives.

You are a person who loves the out doors. At one with nature.
You like walking through the woods were you find great peace and tranquillity.

I feel there has been some kind of a blockage in your path. Some thing that has slowed you down and that has prevented you getting on with your life.
You have so many ideas but are unable to put them in to action. You are being held back.

You are someone who works with your hands and you use your hands to express yourself.
I am hearing the nursery rhyme, oranges and lemons, there is a significance to this song ( a connection ).
March is a vary important month for you. With birthdays and celebrations.

You are busy writing something at the moment which is important to you.
The name grace is important to you
And I feel a gentlemen’s watch is very important to you.
You suffer with back aches as well, just below waist level (lumbar reign). This is also causing you to slow down, blockage,
You are trying to hard to move on. Slow down. You are taking one steep forward and three back.
Meditate more and the answers will come. Stop trying to answer all the questions at once.
Take one at a time.
You are being shown the answers , but they have become so jumbled up, you have missed them.
Slow right down and as the card say’s, watch for a miracle.

You will know when you are being given the answer as coincidences will happen.
Keep your eyes wide open and be aware of what is going on around you.
Know you are being guided and helped by the angels.

Good luck
With love & light

Card of the Week 7

It's been a while since I posted anything here, mainly because I cleared my computer cookies and had forgot my sign in details.

And to be honest have been really busy since before Easter to compile anything either, I was prompted this morning after receiving a reading from Angeleyes, and as alwyas have posted it below for you all, as you all know the reading is for someone out there that will find this post either now or maybe next week or even in a years time, whenever it is if it means something to you , then it was meant for you..

A funny thing happened when I was copying this reading for the site........... Will tell you tomorrow :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Silence
Be still. A daily practice of silence
Bears gifts – a heightened sensitivity to beauty,
Deep inner peace and a profound feeling of connectedness
To all living things.
This person has come to a point in their lives where they seem to be standing still.
They can’t seem to move on in life and everything has become stagnated.
They are trying so hard to find the answer to so many questions, but to no avail.
Time seems to go by so quickly (every day) and yet so slowly. (Finding the answer).
You wish you had a crystal ball to look in to, to give you some direction.
The answers you are seeking are their but you are trying to hard to find them.
Take a deep breath, allow yourself time to relax, switch of your mind, meditate, and the answers will come.
Take one question at a time, don’t analyse the out come, if you were to go ahead and put your thoughts into action, let it sort it self out. If it is meant to be that way it will happen.
You are being guided on this path, both by the angels and spirit.
You have a cherub with you, and I am being told there is new life on its way around you.
This baby will bring so much joy to so many people.
But you are to remember, children are our teachers, listen to them, guide them on this earth, and spirit will reward you with knowledge, understanding and true love for what’s around you & in you.
I am hearing the month of August being called and get the feeling lots of things /changes happening. A lot of excitement to.
The name Hayley is being called and I am being made aware of a wedding dress.
As a person you love nature and being out doors. You believe in all nature spirits. And I am hearing the word kindred spirit.
You have someone close to you that shares the same interests as yourself. Likes & dislikes. You are very close and walk the same path.
Healing is just one of your loves in life.
You are a down to earth person. Who likes the simple things in life?
You never ask for much, just enough to get by on.
As far as past life’s go, you have been here many times before.
In this life time you will have earned your wings to fly.
You help so many people, just by the words that you speak you just don’t value yourself and give yourself the credit you deserve.
Good luck, and just remember the path you take will be the right one.
With love & light
I have decided that the best comments on any posts will be made part of the artical rather than just leave them as comments, Thankyou Running Deer for your input and really do see you going to great heights.
Running Deer said...
Hi Scruffy and Angeleyes. I was interested in the reading. I can take about 95% of what came through. I have been seriously thinking of starting daily meditation and I think this confirms that I should start ASAP. Although I am not standing still at the moment my mediumship side is really taking off. The new life on the way is my wifes daughter (my stepdaughter) is expecting her third child in AUGUST, the only month in which we dont have a birthday.
Our friends in Southsea, Hants has a son who is a couture wedding dress designer and although they are divorced his first wifes name was Hayley.
Also my brother is getting married for the second time in September. I love being outdoors and I hate being inside, I love walking in the woods and I love Danbury Lakes and my wife is the same, we also like the New Forest, Yorkshire moors and Exmoor and Dartmoor. And also my wife is interested in the Psychic/Spiritual side of things. Healing is a love of my life, I have my Reiki Masters coming up in September and cant wait for it to happen.
As for myself, just lately when I do my oracle, healing, or tarot cards, quite a lot of the times I keep getting 'Believe in yourself' and 'Trust what you do' and that I am a very special......but how many people can really say they would say that about themselves if asked, not many. But now I am starting to believe a lot more in my abilities and think that I am worthy of working with Spirit, because they have told me so.
God bless both of you and keep up the good work that you both do.
Three of wands
Virtue
This card is for someone artistic, who has a flare for it.
Someone very musical and has a love for the theatre.
There are three of you who are very close and you have been through thick and thin together. Helping each other throw some very difficult times.
You are all on a new venture in life. A spiritual one at that!
One of you seems to be the leader and organiser. (not in a nasty way)
You are very at peace with nature and have a love for the out doors.
The three of you will be going on a trip abroad this year and this will not only be relaxing for you all, but also very spiritual.
Christmas is a very important time of year for you all, and there will be a lot of changes coming up for you all.
You should also try you hand at spiritual art as I feel you would be very good at this.
Also I feel the rune readings and shiatsu.
you at the moment are feeling very tired, overloaded even frustrated, lost, empty and quite weak. You need to take a break and spend some quality time pampering yourself.
Making yourself feel better.
You can be misunderstood sometimes, but you can be both mystical and magical.
There is not very much that fazes you. You have a sensitivity to tomatoes.
People are attracted to you and you often wonder why.
Regain your self esteem, examine your self-image and remember that people are going to notice you.
Good luck
With love and light
**********************************
Just be yourself
You’re a great person – enjoy being yourself!
You are trying to hard to please everyone. Except yourself.
Others around you are trying to turn you in to someone that your not.
I don’t feel this in a negative way, but they don’t realise what they are doing to you as a person.
You have come along way in your life to reach where you are now, but you are still struggling to be your true self. Even you have to remind yourself every now and then.
Let the child in you come out. Start following your dreams. Let nature lead you.
You have two guilds with you, I am not seeing them, and it is more of a sense of them.
You have moved forward in your life with great leaps and bounds, but you still like to hide yourself away.
You are actually a person others look up to. And you are more evolved then you think. You certainly don’t need to follow other’s, they follow you. Your spiritual knowledge is far greater then you give yourself credit for. But you still want more. We never stop learning, but I feel you still need that extra something, which you haven’t yet found.
You are feeling agitated with yourself at the moment as everyone comes to you with there problems, you never seem to have time for yourself. It is easy to say, make time, but this is not the complete answer.
You need balance, you need to put yourself first,(not in a selfish way), maybe do something for yourself that you enjoy, even if it is a meditation each day or a walk, try and give yourself half an hour each day for you.
I get the feeling of good luck coming and an anonymous sense of peace and tranquillity.
Your path is long and very spiritual, just remember to be yourself.
Time verses Money
I had a long chat with someone today about charging money for what I do (tarot readings etc).....
Two and a half years ago I opened the website www.psychicvisions.org and even then it cost me a fair bit and has done so ever since, in that time I would say I have spent 1000,s of hours building the site, writing pages and spending countless evenings in the chat rooms teaching tarot, doing readings etc etc etc....all for free
As a Reiki master I now teach reiki, but for many years felt charging for healing wasn't for me so whoever needed it I was there, my distance healing list grows daily and never once did I think about the cost.........
Most of us work so charging is not always an issue, but there are many readers, healers, astrologers etc etc out there that don't work full time and rely on an income from what they do.
I work full time so I have an income, but still charge for tarot readings, and Reiki courses and other workshops I do, I still don't charge for healing, but I don't actively advertise it and besides are you paying for healing or the healers time?
The website still takes up a lot of my time, ..... has it made me any money? well no , unless you count the £2.89 I have made from the Amazon links............
Many of us do this because we care, and in my case because it's my passion and I enjoy it.....
If I ever give up full time work I would also charge for healing, or should I say charge for my time, up to now 80% of what I do, I do free.
This person I was talking to was asked if he would work 5 days a week and only get paid for one and he shugged and said of course not, I replied with "On top of that would you pay for the privalege of going to work?"... he laughed
So told him what I do already for free is around 80% of what I charge for and then pay out Hundreds each year to run the websites and the development circles and the healing.........
I could go on but think you get the point, he didn't press me for his free reading...... come to think of it he changed the subject..................................
Card of the Week 4
This week, we have another reading for you from Angeleyes, and again includes mediumship, this weeks reading includes a spirit connection for someone who will read this post at some point in the near future.
Please do leave feedback if you feel this was meant for you as many mediums (myself included) rarely get feedback and is nice to know the person in the spirit world has found their receipent, last weeks reading had only been posted a few hours when we received an e-mail from the person who the reading was for, at their request we have not copied the e-mail to the site and respect their wishes.
If you saw the previous reading your will know this reading or card is meant for who ever see's it whatever day or week that may be, to re-cap see Card of the Week 1 and the post on synchronicity
Simplify your life
Eliminate clutter from your home and life
To balance the flow of activities.
Everything in your head is becoming very jumbled, you don’t know which way to turn.
But it is not only in your mind, it’s your home life to.
Although you are a happy person, who doesn’t really worry about the state of the house and what other people think, even you are getting annoyed about the mess, but there is never enough time to clear it up.
You are a very spiritual person with great healing ability although you are a very laid back person you also have a heart of gold. Life for you is very fast.
You are continually up to something and very much a free spirit, although you can be a bit of a dreamer. There is always something new and exciting going on.
You are being guided by angel Gabrielle this time and there are many more steps to climb before you reach your goal, but you aren’t in any great hurry.
You have a love for nature, trees and wild life.
I feel I have a gentleman with me. He is a father/grandfather. I feel he had a moustache at some point in his life. He was a tall man with dark hair (in his younger days) very up right, slender man, who would wear a suit a lot. I feel he was on mother’s side of the family and I am hearing the words, city gent.
He passed away at home, peacefully in his sleep and was 84 years old. I feel there was a condition with him, but it had nothing to do with his passing.
He comes with loads of love for you, and says sorry for not always being there for you.
He is glad to see you so happy, but please sort yourself out, your home life is a mirror image of your mind, you cant come to any conclusion in your mind until the house is tidy, then sit with a cup of tea and he will be there to help with the answers to your problems.
This gentleman mentions mother’s day and asks, did you forget? You did not do what you usually do.
The gentleman tells me he will come to you again and help you clear your mind.
Development Circle
Tonight was our second Spiritual and Psychic Development Circle held in public at the local village hall and already our numbers have increased.
Tonight was my turn to lead the circle/workshop, and after having a heated debate with my computer ( was trying to burn a disc with sound effects) decided to work with cards and crystals.
The theme was 'imagination and colour' and was amazed at the quality of some of the readings and information coming from basic pictures and gem stones, it goes to show that even if you have no keywords as you do in some cards or established meanings as you would with tarot, it is still possible to 'read' other forms of objects or cards.
Most of our group are beginners but already see a few with real potental, we are now running one every other Thursday so if you are local to us in Essex pay us a visit, you can keep up to date with the events page on my site Click Here
Although we will be doing a similar thing in our online chat rooms in the very near future too Click Here to join
Everyone seems to enjoy the live sessions and having three of us as circle leaders helps with the diversity of subjects, well done everyone keep up the good work.
Card of the Week 3
This week, we have another reading for you from Angeleyes, in case it's not already been said on this site, angeleyes is also a very good spiritual medium, that is she works with the spirit world to give valid messages to those still here on earth, this weeks reading includes a spirit connection for someone who will read this post at some point in the near future.
Please do leave feedback if you feel this was meant for you as many mediums (myself included) rarely get feedback and is nice to know the person in the spirit world has found their receipent.
Daughter of wands
Luxury
I see a lady, who has come a long way on her path. This is a very spiritual lady who appears to be care free now, with a lovely home, money in the bank and lots of vitality and love to give.
There is a holiday abroad coming up, possibly Egypt, I do see pyramids and I get an Egyptian feel with this card.
From the past their has been two relationships that have not worked out, and it has taken a great deal of self care to get yourself back up on to your feet and ready to face the world again.
The past has gone now although you still have your memories, but in time they will get easier.
This is the new you, new life, new home and a new spiritual adventure.
Try a new hobby, look in to a crystal ball, be wild, and let your imagination flow.
Life is full of great opportunities, start taking some for yourself.
I have a lady in spirit with me, she would have had indigestion a lot and I feel a burning sensation in wind pipe/ chest area.
She was around 62 years old when she passed. Although I feel she looked older and she was also quite frail. I get the names of Margaret, Sue and Juliet connected with her.
She said “she feels, she passed before her time”. And that you were especially good to her. Always laughing and joking, you were her ray of sunshine, even though your life was difficult at the time.
She tells me, she is pleased you have found happiness again in your life and that life is looking up for you, keep smiling, the angels are with you.
Card of the week intent
Focus your energy
There is amazing power in a strong intention
The world is your oyster; you have been through a great storm and now have reached the other side. You are unclear as to which way to go now. You are being given opportunities but are unsure of which one to take. You seem to be in a muddle. Study each one carefully taking on board the good and the bad with each one. Don’t rush in to anything until you have thought each one through.
Spirit is very much around you now as is angel Gabriel; talk openly to her and her will guide you. Time is ticking away and you are making this more complex then it really needs to be.
You are bearing all for everyone to see; nothing is hidden, what you see is what you get.
I don’t feel this is to do with a relationship more to do with work and home life.
This situation brings great changes for you thus not to be taken lightly.
Once a decision has been made stick with it. Your future is very bright and calm compared to what you have been through
Be honest with yourself about what you really want and don’t be influenced by others.
Take time out to analyse your life. Help is there for you.
You have felt trapped in the past and found yourself in situation you can’t easily get out of
Trust your intuition and go forward with the intention you set out to achieve.
Good luck
With love & light
Bogus psychics
Every day hundreds of people in the UK fall for letters that contain predictions, promises of healing properties or threats of dire consequences if they do not pay up.
In one example uncovered by the Office of Fair Trading a mailing told consumers they were living in 'a zone which has been booby trapped by negative waves', and it offered a solution for a payment of £29.
Another mailing in the name of Maria Rosa claimed 'in the next few days you will have the very tidy sum of £169,000 in your possession'.
Extravagant and potentially misleading claims are also made about rituals the psychic will undertake or items, such as jewellery the 'psychic' sells which it is claimed will bring the recipient good luck and ward off evil forces, says the OFT.
A scammer using the name Serena sent thousands of letters claiming: 'Your life will be beautiful and you deserve it, thanks to the Parchment of the Sacred Olive Branch which will protect you and bring you happiness.'
The OFT says other allegedly lucky items sold by scammers include Esmerelda's Money creating Scarab of the Pharoes, Gabriel d'Angelo's Happiness Beamer, Maria Rosa's Bracelet of Ameno Lise and Marie Desperance's Golden Thread.
For more on this article
Click Here
The above article again goes to show no matter what it is, someone some where will try to make money from it with a scam, so why do people fall for it?
We had a member on the main site that had access to free readings and still went to another pay site to get a reading, fair enough I thought nothing like a second opinion and they were pleased with what they received anyway they were so pleased that they decided to buy a reading for a friend some months later, their friend contacted them and showed them the reading saying how pleased they were with it.......guess what........ it was the same reading as before, word for word.
It made them realise that not all readers are like those at psychicvisions.org so a lesson learnt.
Ok time to lay the cards on the table (excuse the pun) so what do you look for if you really do want a good reading or a good psychic?
THINGS TO REMEMBER WHEN CONSULTING A PSYCHIC OR TAROT READER
Don't consult the Psychic hotlines advertised in phone books, magazines and other places. Most of these people have scripts which they work from (I know I was asked to do it) and in many cases not even psychics . It is a complete waste of money.
Many e-mail tarot readings are copied and pasted from a collection already written, watch out for this one it's getting very common, most readings can take a while to write and send back, (normally at least 48 hours, maybe longer).
Try to get a Psychic or reader who comes highly recommended from someone else (that includes me) If you don't know them try sending e-mails asking some questions you have about them, genuine ones will answer any number of questions, only when your happy should you book a reading and pay.
Testimonials. These mean very little, anyone can write them
Be highly skeptical and don't tell any type of personal details up front.
Try not to react to anything the psychic says to you. A straight yes or no answer should be sufficient to keep them going. Always remember that body language will give almost anything about you away and if the psychic is not genuine they will easily pick up on this and keep feeding you lies. Keep still and watch what your eyebrows are doing.
Be wary of giving large amounts of money. You should only have to pay for one sitting.
If the psychic or reader advises that you return for any type of further reading, spell casting, curse detection or eradication do not return back as this is usually a trick to get more money.
No self respecting psychic or tarot reader would tell a client bad news, if you have been advised of death or any extreme bad news leave the sitting immediately and do not return.
The above won't stop all scam readings but will help you bypass some
Card of the week 1
A few days ago I posted a short piece on synchronicity so now we get to see it in action.
Taking the point that everything has a reason and things happen at the time and place there are meant too, then the fact that you have found your way to this blog and this post happened for a reason!..... the reason..... well could be many things but today we are posting the first of our 'Card of the Week' readings based on a single card from a very good reader.
Once a week she will be doing a short reading on one card she draws from a pack of her choice, now if you see this today, next week or maybe you have found this post in a years time, then right now is meant for you.......in short synchronicity.
It maybe the reading itself may not be relevant to you but we will be posting the picture of each card too and maybe the image here may inspire you on this day.
Anyway thanks must go to 'Angeleyes' who provided this reading that follows and all subsequent readings.
Card of the week COURAGE
Take the leap
Your courage will see you through.
Your personal life has not been a bed of roses recently and I feel that you are putting on a brave face but deep inside you, you are crying with sadness and frustration, guilt and anxiety, as you don’t want to hurt anyone.
You have nothing to feel guilty about. You are the one who is important here, no one else.
Little things are not adding up in your relationship and they are beginning to bother you.
Although you have asked questions, the truth is never told, and you find yourself not knowing what to believe.
There has been deceit and lies told, and your trust in this person has gone, although you want to believe them but cant.
I feel this is not to do with an affair but more so with drugs.
They are more wrapped up in their world than with you.
And it seems to you that every time you make the decision to leave the relationship they come back very sorry, until the next time.
You are being guided, and will be given the strength to walk away.
I feel this partner fears you and what you’re capable of, but the only person who does not see this strength is you.
There is a whole new world out their waiting for you to come and explore.
Your future is a lot brighter than it is now, but only you can make it happen.
You have been given two lions for protection, courage and strength, use them to draw on their abilities and find yourself again.
Good luck,
With love & light
Angel eyes xxx
Teaching Tarot
Yesterday was the second one of my Tarot one day workshops held at the Spiritualist Centre in Billericay Essex and again was really pleased with the interest and the turnout.
“How can you teach reading Tarot in one day” I hear you say!...... well in truth you can’t, but what you can do is give an introduction to what tarot is about and de-bunk the myths that have built up around tarot.
Traditionally when you decide to study tarot for the purposes of reading for others, most teachers / centres will teach you the meanings of all 78 cards, the spreads and how to associate the cards into a reading, (I know, I did it myself 26 years ago) this in itself can take up to 2 years before you can read professionally for others.
What I do is teach it intuitively, that is to use the images on the cards to invoke how the reader feels about that card or picture and what they may feel it means to the sitter (the one getting the reading).
I normally start off saying that there is no magical or mystical properties to the cards themselves, in fact they are just pieces of card with colourful pictures on them, that is only what the reader sees within them that gives any mystical or intuitive meaning at all.
Starting off with photos of something like trees or even abstract art and scribbles I prove to them you can ‘read’ almost any image and by the end of the day have them all doing a valid card reading.
Ok the above sounds like it simplifies the world of reading tarot cards, but who made it complicated in the first place? Many people give up when faced with 2 years of study and 78 cards to learn, but if they have a method of using their cards almost straight away then if they want to take the professional route then they can learn the traditional meanings after when it suits them, my method has worked with dozens of people at live workshops and in our website chat room classes, and if it brings a greater interest in working with tarot cards then I will continue using what now seems a tried and tested method of teaching a wonderful medium of divination.
16 people went away yesterday with a better understanding of how the cards work for them that to me makes it worth while.
The history of Tarot
There are several hypotheses surrounding the origin of the Tarot, including the concept that it was an ancient Pagan system of prophecy, or an encoding of the mysteries of the universe. These fanciful myths are just that – myths. The Tarot was not created in Egypt, China, and especially not in Ireland or England; it was not developed as a key to universal energy by the Cabbalists, or by the Romany as a system of magical divination.
Quite simply, it was developed in Italy during the fifteenth century as a simple card game much like our modern Bridge, which involved taking trumps. It was based on a regular deck of playing cards (four suits each containing ten numbered cards and three court cards: page, knight and king). The Tarot added a queen card to the court cards in each suit, and twenty-two unique cards not assigned to any suit. The Tarot was derived from the regular playing deck, not the other way around as many people assume.
What we now call the “Major Arcana” was referred to as “the trumps” (interestingly, the Fool was not considered a trump card), while the Minor Arcana was termed “suit cards”. The original suits were known as "coins", "staves" or "batons", “cups” and “swords”, and the deck and the game were known as carte da trionfi (cards of triumph). A century later the name evolved to tarocchi (singular tarocco) to differentiate between the unique card deck and a new game of trumps introduced that could be played with ordinary playing cards.
This augmented deck of cards was used to play a new type of game which involved taking trumps, but with twenty-one of the special cards (remember, the Fool was not a trump outranking all the ordinary cards and acting as permanent trumps, which could be played regardless of what suit was led. The Fool could be played at any time without taking a trump. This game became known as the Game of Triumphs, and caught on as a popular pastime among the upper classes, particularly in northern Italy and then travelling to eastern France, and later to Germany. As the game travelled and new decks were created, illustration and design evolved to reflect the geographical and cultural systems it encountered, as did the names of the trump cards.
The original symbolism of the trump cards does not originate with Egyptian or Oriental culture; it is taken directly from Medieval and Renaissance European culture, most often reflecting Christian art.
The Church never specifically outlawed Tarot cards they way regular playing cards were forbidden, most likely because it was associated with the upper classes. Tarot was not marked as heretical or specifically associated with the Devil in any way. Playing cards were associated with the sinful pastime of gambling, which led to their black-listing at various times.
The Tarot was not specifically connected with divination; playing cards of all kinds were used as a form of cartomancy. The earliest documentary evidence for Tarot being associated with fortune telling occurs in the eighteenth century, when specific divination decks (such as Mme Lenormand and the Grand Ettelia) were developed. The Tarot also began to be associated with the occult around this time.
As occultists began to examine the Tarot around the same time, they recognised various elements of mystical and spiritual importance to their traditions and began to rework the illustration and interpretation to reflect their own belief systems.
A pub with more than one kind of Spirit!
It's been one of those days today, the weather has been damp and cold all day and the rain seems to of carried on and on we never got round to turning off the lights as the dark clouds never really lifted, one of those days you really don't want to be outside, so we lit the log burner and stayed in.
This afternoon brought together a meeting with two of our group to discuss how the psychic evening, later in the month is to be scheduled, it's the second one we are doing at this venue and we have decided to change the format slightly, last time it was I that done the stand up mediumship demonstration, and feel someone else should do it this time so I can do the private tarot readings along with a few others, the evening is actually in a PUB and I was once told working a pub is one of the hardest venues to do, I agree, but how better to hone your readings!
Standing up in front of 40 odd people to do spirit messages requires and lot of trust and belief in not only yourself but those 'beyond the veil' and even more so when your audience has had a drink!
We have now got our front medium booked for the night and now I can work on the private readings for the night ( which we are doing at the same time as the main demo) I've got to be honest I prefer to do the one to one, and have my trusty Tarot cards to hand.
