Capricorn

Each month I am going to focus on birthdays and the astrology signs the first part of January is of course Capricorn, If your birthday was from 1st Jan up to 20th Jan, this is for you.

CAPRICORN (Dec 22nd to Jan 20th)

January 2007

With the Sun in your sign this month, capricorn, you'll be feeling strong and in control.

Take advantage of intuitive hunches on January 2 that will help you in your work and career. The Full Moon in cancer, on January 3 may bring out feelings of insecurity and vulnerability.

Because of this, you may be open to explore new ideas and approaches later in the week, which you can then find a practical application for. This month is a great time to solve problems and to move beyond your usual way of dealing with them, pushing the envelope.

You have to be willing to face your fears in the process and challenge yourself. With Mars and the Moon in capricorn on January 16, you will shine by using your management and organizational skills. There will be an increased workload, but you will be able to meet demands.

A New Moon in capricorn on January 18 will usher in a phase of making a new start with your ambitions and plans. Take the time to figure out where you want to be in five years.

On January 23 and 24, you may encounter someone who is overly enthusiastic and who tends to be bossy. Listen to their ideas, but only agree to the most realistic ones.

They may want to force some changes, so make sure they don't go too far. At the end of the month, you may need a change but will be unsure of how to move forward and make progress.

I don't really believe in astrology--and yet, a work colleague who didn't really know me that well did a complete astrological profile of me and it was shockingly accurate.

How do you go about making your horoscopes?

Astrology, like many other aspects of the metaphyical world such as Numerology, is more mathamatical than predictive and are based on 100's if not 1000's of years of research and information.
On that basis anyone can do an Astrology chart or a Numerology chart with the right information or computer programme.
It's others that have done all the hard work in the past, all we do now is put the information together.

How does it work? well I hope the following helps

By Annabel Burton

Astrology uses the position of 8 planets in our Solar System plus the Sun and the Moon at the time of your birth or any other event to determine essential character and forecast scenarios for the future while understanding the past. Each planet, each Sun Sign, Moon Sign etc, and a very angle or inter-relationship between planets has meaning which has been observed and interpreted over thousands of years.

Having read and studied much material I have come to the conclusion that Astrology works like this: The Moons gravity affects the rise and fall of the sea as tides here on Earth. The Human brain contains an awful lot of water! All of the planets have a gravitational pull on each other, on the Earth and hence on us, though at the distance that some of the planets are from the Earth this gravitational pull is small but we and th ecosystem we live within are sensitive enough to feel some effect.

Of greater effect is the way that the planets gravitational pull effects our Sun's own gravity and radiation cycles, this of course being nearer and much more powerful has a very great effect on our life on Earth.

The Sun like many things works in cycles that we have observed over time and to a large degree can be predicted. The Sun Spot cycles have been closely linked to episodes and effects here on Earth.

While the position of the Planets can be predicted with a high degree of accuracy through long observation in the science of Astronomy. Traits of personality, and their relation to planet positions have also been observed over some three thousand years as the art of Astrology. It should be noted here that Astronomy the science, and Astrology the art, started life as the same subject, in fact the two subjects only became separate and distinct around the seventeenth century. Also note that the great Psychology, Carl Jung was also keenly interested in Astrology, and is noted as having said "An hours Astrological consultancy is equal to two years Psychoanalysis".
